NH Employers – these two changes went into effect 7-14-19. More information can be found here: https://www.nh.gov/labor/

Effective 7/14/19 there is a statutory amendment to RSA 277 SAFETY AND HEALTH OF EMPLOYEES (Public) that requires the Department of Labor to inspect a place of employment where a serious injury or death has occurred and requires a public employer to report such injury or death to the Department. For the purposes of RSA 277 SAFETY AND HEALTH OF EMPLOYEES, an employer is defined in RSA 277:1-b and “means the state or any of its political subdivisions operating a place of employment.”

Effective 7/14/19, the Youth Employment Law pertaining to Night Work limits the hours that youth 16 or 17 years old may work in any shift during a work week. Specifically, no youth who works more than 2 nights in a week past 8:00PM or before 6:00AM shall be permitted to work more than 8 hours in any shift during that same week.
